Please join us for “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports” as we watch the Kentucky Derby race on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Sip a frosty Mint Julep or step on over to our custom-curated Bourbon Bar under the stately Live Oak canopy at Bowing Oaks. Listen to live jazz as you enjoy a Derby-inspired dinner, peruse our Live Auction, and “grab” a mystery bottle of wine. Purchase a raffle ticket to cheer on your favorite horse’s run-for-the roses – Pick a Winner, Be a Winner!

The Root Ball is the annual fundraiser for Greenscape of Jacksonville. Funds raised through this event assist in the ongoing operation of one of the nation’s longest-running tree groups that has provided education, advocacy, and trees in the ground right here in our city for more than 45 years.

Since 2007, Late Bloomers Garden Club has partnered with Greenscape to produce the Root Ball, a fundraiser to help raise awareness of the importance of trees in Jacksonville and to assist in the support of the River City’s only tree-planting organization.

This annual event produced by Late Bloomers Garden Club will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Bowing Oaks.

We’ll have lots of healthy outdoor space to enjoy a great party and the Kentucky Derby.

Acorns – $100 (Young Professionals rate for 35-years-old and younger)
Branches – $200 (per ticket)
Limbs – $250 (per ticket)
Canopy – $500 (per ticket)
Trunks – $1,000 (two tickets)
Towering Pine – $2,500 (four tickets)
Grand Cypress – $5,000 (six tickets)
Majestic Elm – $10,000 (eight tickets)
Stately Oak – $20,000 (ten tickets)
