Wind trees, originally designed by a French start-up company, will be introduced to the U.S. market in 2024. Designed to be compact (5-10 meters in height), and to directly supply energy to a building’s existing electrical system, under typical wind conditions, a single WindTree can yield almost 18,000 kWh/year, sufficient to power a 4-person household and cut annual CO2 emissions by over 12 tonnes.
